  • 2 slices of white cheddar cheese see Note 1
  • 4 slices of sourdough bread
  • 2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tablespoons softened butter

Method
 

Step 1: Prepare the Bread
  1. Start with four slices of sourdough bread. Pour yourself a cup of coffee because we’re about to embark on a sandwich-making journey. Spread a tablespoon of softened butter on one side of each slice. This butter will work its magic in the skillet later.
Step 2: Assemble Your Cheese
  1. Now, layer the cheese. On the unbuttered side of two slices, place one slice of mozzarella and one slice of white cheddar. Spread the pesto on top of the cheese. Don't skip this step—it adds an incredible dimension. Sprinkle a dash of garlic powder over the cheese for an extra punch of flavor.
