postheadericon Adam’s Tamale Casserole

What you need:

  • 2 big cans tamales (Sodium restricted diets check label for 15% salt or less)
  • 2 cans chili with meat and w/beans or not (Sodium restricted diets check label for 15% salt or less. Vegetarian? Use meatless chili.)
  • 4 big handfuls or scoops Onions and whatever you can fit into deep pan (The scoops manage how juicy or firm the casserole turns out. Four big hand fulls for me so 5 small ones. ~ Adam H)
  • Can opener
  • Deep pan suitable for baking
  • Large spoons
  • Knife/Cutting board to break up the tamales
  • Oven

How to do it:

  • Oven set at 350° – Turn on oven BEFORE you mix all ingredients so it is ready when you are
  • Open all cans.
  • Break up tamales add chili and other stuff. (Using your hands or a knife on the cutting board.)
  • Mix up in the deep pan
  • Cook 30 minutes in a preheated 350° oven…enjoy!
